Engagement models
How does humaniseAI work with clients?
humaniseAI is a Melbourne-based AI consulting firm with three engagement models: project-based software development, advisory and embedded talent. Every engagement starts with discovery, runs on one AI-native delivery process, and keeps a human sign-off on every critical gate.
We own the outcome
AI systems and automation, custom software development in Australia and AI integration services, built into what you already run.
Best for: a defined workflow or product to build.
How it runs
1. Discover (weeks 1 to 2). A discovery phase that agrees the workflow, data readiness and success in numbers.
2. Scope of Work. Design, plan and governance gates, signed off by you.
3. Build (weeks 3 to 6). Agile software development on our AI-native SDLC, from proof of concept to full solution.
4. Measure (week 7 onward). The result at 30 days, then support and what’s next.
Commercial model: quoted per phase from the Scope of Work.
We set the direction and the guardrails
Strategy, AI governance and AI literacy for executive teams.
Best for: deciding where AI fits and how to govern it.
How it runs
1. Discover (2 to 4 weeks). A Discovery Sprint that ends in a prioritised business case.
2. Roadmap (5 to 8 weeks). Every AI initiative worth pursuing, in sequence.
3. Govern (6 to 10 weeks). AI and data governance, mapped to ISO/IEC 42001 and the OWASP LLM Top 10.
4. Enable. Board briefings and AI literacy, then ongoing advisory.
Commercial model: a fixed assessment, structured program or monthly retainer.
You direct the work, we handle the rest
Staff augmentation and outsourced accounting, not IT outsourcing: our engineers and accountants join your team.
Best for: capacity inside your existing team.
How it runs
1. Brief. The role, stack and team shape, from one engineer to a dedicated development team.
2. Source and screen. A shortlist from 40,000+ candidates and a six-step assessment. You make the final call.
3. Onboard (4 to 6 weeks). Live in your repo, sprints or ledgers.
4. Support. HR, local account management, and a free replacement if the fit isn’t right.
Commercial model: monthly per resource, with a 60-day no-lock-in trial for engineering, or a fixed fee for finance job-based work.
Not sure which fits? The AI Council Incubator starts with the same discovery, at no cost. Two seats open each quarter.
Our method
One method behind every engagement.
Our approach to artificial intelligence implementation is one service delivery model, led by AI implementation consultants in Melbourne. Each stage ends at a gate a person signs off before the next begins.
1. Qualify
2. Design
3. Deliver
4. Operate

Qualify
Gate: you approve the business case
A human in the loop at every gate. AI doing the heavy lifting in between.
AI-native, governed
AI-native, governed to standards.
Engineers direct the AI
Every AI-generated line is reviewed by an engineer, with prompt audit trails on every build.
Explainable by default
Every recommendation traces back to its source, so responsible AI is how we build, not a policy.
Secure by design
OWASP-aligned standards, a security review on every pull request, and AI governance mapped to ISO/IEC 42001.
Quality gates that block
CI/CD checks on every commit, enforced coverage, and failed builds that stop deployment.
The AI-native SDLC: Discover → Scope → Plan → Prioritise → Coordinate → Build → Test & Security Review → DevOps → Production → Monitoring. Ten stages, completed in weeks, not quarters.
~70% productivity gain in production today
Time to market: quarters to weeks
Your data never trains another client’s model
