About the client
humaniseAI’s Talent team partnered with a Healthtech firm working with NATA-credited DNA laboratories in the US to deliver personalised wellness kits based on genetic analysis, with a global user base across the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Israel. The client had two live mobile apps, one public-facing and one for clinicians, already built by other teams, and needed to fix what was there while shipping new subscription features fast.
The challenge
The app worked, but the foundation underneath it didn’t.
Earlier development teams had left the app with real structural issues
The client needed faster, more frequent deployments than before
A full subscription model still had to be designed and built
Two separate apps, public and clinical, had to be kept in step
The existing codebase made new features slow and risky to ship
What we did
humaniseAI’s Talent team rebuilt the foundation before adding anything new.
Formed a dedicated team: a tech lead, senior engineers, and quality engineers
Rebuilt the app around an atomic design structure using React Native
Introduced CI/CD to automate what had been a manual release process
Built the full subscription model: plans, meal and exercise tips, medication reminders
Ran the build through agile scrums with the client’s own architects
Results
User Base Growth: Reached 150,000 global users within 12 months of launch
Higher Subscription Uptake: Transparent pricing and in-app purchases drove conversions
Better User Experience: A React Native rebuild made the app faster and more intuitive
Faster Release Cycles: CI/CD cut deployment time and sped up feature delivery
Reduced Technical Debt: Atomic design made the codebase easier to extend safely
Takeaway
humaniseAI’s Talent team turned an app three other teams had already touched into one the client could keep building on.
